District 8 Conference – Women Soar!
The Zonta Club of North Puget Sound was honored to host the District 8 Conference this September at Hotel Indigo.
We were delighted to welcome fellow Zontians from across the district, including Oregon, Idaho, Vancouver Island (BC), and Alaska.
Highlights of the conference included inspiring keynote presentations by author Amanda Lea Kaiser and Zuba V. Mutsei from Rwanda. We also heard thoughtful contributions from our clubs and greetings from local elected officials.
As part of the official business, members elected officers for the upcoming biennium and voted on updates to the district by-laws.
Beyond business, attendees joined in meaningful activities such as the “Orange Walk – Zonta Says No to Violence Against Women” and a hands-on service project in support of sexual assault survivors.
The weekend closed on a high note with a lively “Accidental Tourist”-themed dinner, celebrating community, connection, and the spirit of Zonta.
